moral of the toon

I watched Fairly Odd Parents the other day with my daughter.

The episode was about Timmy Turner being ignored and unwanted by everybody, to such an extent that they'd rather be with a rock than with him. When he couldn't take it anymore, he wished to be the 'most wanted kid' from his Fairy Godparents, which of course was instantly granted. Next day, people started fighting over him. He was picked first in everything: as a lab partner, as a team mate, as a friend, as a master (of other fairies as well). He was pleased as punch to be wanted and chased by girls.

Then came the plot twist when the police and FBI came knocking on his door, announcing that he was under arrest for being the 'most wanted kid.'

So you can imagine how much work it was to clean up that mess. All ended well though as he got to reverse his wish.

There's a lesson here though...

"Attention is much like love... Everybody needs it, but not from everybody."

then how will you deal with a person who loves you but whose love you can't reciprocate?

Love will not flourish if it is unrequited. Even God asks the same thing, and he is God. But not everyone can love in equal amounts. Love is universal emotion. But it is distinctive in that you cannot have 5 wives because you "love" all 5, can you?

But you have reconstrued my blog entry into your point of view about loving others, when its nature is really is how one is able to need and accept love, or in this case attention.
